BACKGROUND:
Dan Betkoski is a dedicated attorney with a diverse legal background. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in 2013 and his law degree from West Virginia University, College of Law in 2017. Following law school, Dan was commissioned into the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, where he served for over six years.
As a Judge Advocate, Dan gained extensive experience across multiple legal disciplines, including criminal law, administrative law, contract and fiscal law, and regulatory compliance. He provided trusted legal counsel to commanders at all echelons—from company level to Brigadier General—on matters such as administrative investigations, ethics, fiscal responsibility, and military justice. Dan also successfully prosecuted Soldiers who committed a wide range of offenses under the Uniform Code of Military Justice and later defended Soldiers in criminal litigation and administrative proceedings.
Dan currently practices in the areas of business law, employment law, estate planning, and litigation. He is focused on building a well-rounded practice by providing thoughtful and strategic legal guidance tailored to the unique needs of his clients.
Outside the office, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, walking his dog, fishing, kayaking, and passionately supporting Cleveland sports, the Kent State Golden Flashes, and the West Virginia Mountaineers.
